So, a few months back I decided we should just make gifts for everyone this year. Why? Well, because if we did the regular gift exchange with a $20 (right, because $20 has ever bought anyone anything off their wishlist) limit it would still cost us over $100 (with taxes and shipping) to participate. I spent a ton last year as it was, but it was fun because I my girls had their twin cousins.
Anywho...
This year we are strapped for cash. So what did I do? I raided my sister's pinterest boards in search of crafty inspirations. Then I took to my own boards for gift ideas for the Mother-In-Law, Step-mom, Dad, and of course Mom (who loves a good handmade gift!).
My sister wants a wreath...we shall see.
Mom? She gets fun photo type gifts.
Dad? Who knows...we never know until about a week prior.
Other sister...oh boy, no idea!
Husband? He gets a heartfelt card and cuddles :)
Kids? They get gifts. Nat gets a volleyball (at her request), Ky I am not sure about yet, Audrey will likely get an outfit and some legwarmers.
Santa gifts are lost on us as of now. Nat will get something she needs because she knows about Santa, Ky refuses to admit she knows, so she gets to play still, and Audrey? More clothes I am sure!
Why so few gifts? We got a kitten, who get a scratching post! That was our family gift this year. This year is getting back to Christmas, back to Christ. Ky asked my to make an advent wreath, but no such luck as of yet. I did an Advent calendar for them, but I am not sure it really serves the same purpose. I will post my creations on the other site for all to see. And I will link them up here as well.
